While the focus of this position is specific to North America, there is opportunity for expansion into other businesses across the Americas Zone.

The Production Manager will drive plant production and efficiency for Schindler Elevator’s Clinton, North Carolina facility. The role will include supply management, scheduling, manufacturing processes, shipping, maintenance, people management, and implementation of change initiatives in the facility. There will be a need for this role to have a strong presence on the shop floor, focusing on daily initiatives involving training and development, safety, and continual process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be exceptionally results-focused, and be a hands-on leader. He/she will have a track record of designing and implementing lean manufacturing processes, setting goals, and seeking out improvements. He/she will excel in fostering team development to drive performance metrics, and possess the skills necessary to execute facility reconfigurations that will maximize operations potential.

* Approximately 140 employees, with 3-4 supervisors directly reporting

* Candidate should have strong plant operations experience in a LEAN environment

* Candidate should have welding / industrial welding background or exposure to such environments
