Beverage Distribution Center, Inc. (BDCI) has retained GattiHR Industrial for their Plant Operations Manager search, located in College Point, NY. Tom Conroy and Bob Cwenar will lead this search. Applicants must have experience working in high speed/high volume food/beverage industry.

Beverage Distribution Center Inc, or BDCI, is a privately owned and operated bottler and distributor of PEPSI and Canada Dry products on the East Coast of the United States. They operate two large bottling production centers, and 19 distribution locations, making them one the largest players in the region.

BDCI is part of the Honickman Companies, a large privately owned bottler and distributor of beverages, founded in 1957. The company has a history of success, and since their inception, has grown to bottle and distribute beverages from New York to Richmond, VA; employing up to 2500 employees. Reporting to the Plant Director, the Plant Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the production and logistics operations within one of the two flagship locations of BDCI in College Point, NY. This role includes providing leadership and mentoring to department managers, front line production supervisors and production operators. In addition to leading shop floor personnel, this role will be responsible for developing and motivating the team to deliver performance results that lead to the execution of the annual operating budget. The Plant Operations Manager will also implement processes and new initiatives to maximize production line uptime, drive a culture of safety and implement continuous improvement processes to improve overall equipment effectiveness and employee capabilities.

The Plant Operations Manager plays a key role in working with the Production and Maintenance departments to carry out plant objectives. The Manager will be an integral part in assisting the Plant Director and Controller in creating and maintaining accurate forecasts and budgets for the plant. There will be many key relationships including but not limited to: Plant Director, Plant Personnel, Financial Controller, Operations leaders, Maintenance, and others.
